Unlike most platforms, ours will feed your birds not squirrels. We have always loved platform feeding because all sizes of birds are welcome due to easy, open access to the food. However, easy access also means squirrels and when there is a squirrel on any feeder, birds won't come.
At Duncraft's Squirrel-Blocker™ platforms such as the Champion, squirrels are foiled by the two Squirrel-Blocker™ grids.
Our Squirrel-Blocker™ system has two grids engineered to sit above the access to the seed. The distance and geometry of the two grids prevent a squirrel from getting at the seed -- neither mouth nor paws can reach the food, yet access is easy for your songbirds -- their beaks simply reach in.
