Pet Ramps Use a Ramp to make entry and exit from elevated levels much more safe! Dog Ramp Training Tips: Some dogs will take to dog ramp immediately. For those that don't, we suggest you put the ramp flat on the ground & walk your dog over it (a reward placed on the ramp also helps or you might try feeding him on the ramp once or twice). When you raise the ramp, your dogs favorite treat placed towards the top of the ramp also works the first time. The first time up the ramp, take your dog by the collar and lead him to the reward. You'll only need to do this once or twice. It is important to take your dog for a ride after he has successfully entered the vehicle. Safety for you and your dog is our primary concern, NOT trying to cut corners on quality to improve our profits. Safety Note: If you own a dog ramp, please do not place it loose in the compartment with your dog as it becomes a missile in a sudden stop. It is best to simply tuck the dog ramp behind your driver's seat where it is safe and handy for you. We also do NOT recommend placing the dog ramp flat on the back seat, as this presents similar problems in a quick stop.
